The Most important Decision For Any Serious Business Owner.
C-Corps, S-Corps, LLCs, Partnerships... which one do you choose?
Oh boy...What a decision to have to make.
Nonetheless, it's still a decision that has to be made.
The question is... how do you decide? With so many options and so much information out there, I guess the bigger question would be: who do you listen to? Do you listen to your friends and family? The so-called business experts?
In our opinion, the person you should be consulting with and listening to is your pocketbook and your business plan (you do have a business plan don't you?)
That’s why we here at The Self-Employed Tax Company call our entity formation service "Assistance"
The reason we call it assistance is because we really don't want you to pay us, or anyone else for that matter, to do something that you can easily do yourself.
To form a corporation all you must do is fill out the proper forms found on your Secretary of State website.
Here is list of the forms need for each entity type:
- For Corporations = Articles of Incorporation.
- For LLCs = Articles of Organization (Note the difference).
- A S-Corp is not a formation - it's an election. Therefore there are no state forms to fill out.
- For Partnerships = Simply shake a hand. No State paperwork required.
Therefore, our fee is solely based on assisting you not actually filling out any forms, meaning that we are just here to guide you in the right direction and answer any questions along the way.
There will come a time when you will need to hire a professional (e.x a lawyer), but not at this point. The only exception to this rule is when you have some very unusual circumstances. Outside of that... all you need is a little assistance.

Entity Formation Assistance
When You Need A Helping Hand
This price includes:
- 1-on-1 One Hour Consultation
- Form Guidance
- Q&A
- Best Use Analysis
*Please note that the above price is based on the assumption (don't you say it) that you have a little bit of knowledge of how each type of entity performs and how the tax implications are for each. But, again, that is an assumption (yes we know). So, therefore, we suggest that if you are not familiar with these things that you take some time to explore or educational page. Hopefully from there you will find some valuable information, if not, you can always just book for extra hours.
We appreciate your understanding.
